Brief —

Our client approached us looking to make better use of their garden, which previously lacked structure and usable space. The area was often waterlogged after heavy rain, and the existing surfaces were uneven and impractical. They wanted a more attractive, functional layout where they could relax and entertain guests, with materials that would complement the style of their home.

Solution —

We started by designing a fresh layout that divided the garden into purposeful zones while improving flow and usability. Indian sandstone was selected for the patio and paved areas due to its natural beauty, durability, and subtle colour variation. A spacious patio was installed to create a central social area, seamlessly connecting the garden to the house.


To tackle the drainage issues, we installed a discreet and effective drainage system beneath the paving. This ensures surface water is efficiently managed, even during heavy downpours. Edging and careful gradients were incorporated to maintain water flow and protect the surrounding lawn and planting areas.

Result —

The finished garden is now a practical, stylish, and enjoyable extension of the home. The Indian sandstone patio has transformed the space into a welcoming outdoor area ideal for entertaining and relaxing. The new layout makes better use of the space, while the drainage system has resolved the previous water retention issues. The client was thrilled with the result, noting how much more time they now spend outside, enjoying a garden that finally suits their lifestyle.
